I Love Fall
Fall, my favorite season of all, and October especially. I think it has a lot to do with growing up and it being the time when the farm would slow down and was coming to an end. Plus there's football and sweaters, crisp cool weather (I'm not a fan of summer heat) and the smells (smoke from woodburning stoves, fireplaces, and I'm probably alone on this but the smell of manure lets me know it is truly Fall). We made our annual trip to Papa's pumpkin patch a bit early this year so it didn't look or feel like Fall yet (technically it wasn't), but the kids had fun picking out our pumpkins and were even cooperative with my posing and picture taking.

punkins
We went on our traditional outing to my Dad's fields in West Farmington to pick our pumpkins. By the time we got there on Friday evening it was almost dark, and the mosquitoes were the worst I've ever seen, but we were able to get a few good photos (the kids were very cooperative for a change) and some great pumpkins. We had to beat the stormy weather that was coming on Saturday so it was our only chance.

In other news the crew we hired removed the vinyl siding from our house and began the preparation for stucco, I'll post of picture of the finished product once it is done.
The boys finished up soccer and are getting excited for Halloween, with costumes selected and anxiously awaiting being able to wear them.
Kylie turned 21 months, is saying new words nearly every day, and is keeping us entertained.
